The LoRaWAN end device (node) WiSeNode is a 4-channel data logger with a radio interface to a LoRaWAN gateway, which stores the measurement data on a remote server (in the cloud) wirelessly via LTE or wired via LAN interface.
To operate the LoRaWAN end device (nodes), a "LoRaWAN gateway" and a web server with a visualization and alarm function are required.
The complete system, consisting of one or more "nodes", a gateway and the cloud service, is supplied by ME-Meßsysteme GmbH and can be set up and put into operation on request, including the installation of the sensors. A "private" LoRaWAN radio network is used, which is provided by the wisenode gateway.
Up to 8 nodes with 4 channels each can be connected to a gateway.
The range of the node in the LoRaWAN network in the frequency band from 433.05 to 434.79 MHz (ISM band Region 1) and from 863 to 870 MHz is approximately 1 km in urban areas and up to 10 km in the open field with line of sight. A major advantage of the LoRaWAN network is that reception is also possible in buildings or even in basements.
A key advantage of the WiSeNode is the ability to connect industrial sensors with analog output 0...10 V. A supply voltage of 15 V DC with a maximum current of 150 mA is provided by the WiSeNode.
Using the ME-IOT electronics "GSV-14", strain gauges, force sensors, torque sensors, crack sensors, etc. can be connected to the WiSeNode with minimal energy consumption.
The WiSeNode has a modular design. Expansion modules are available for measuring temperature, current signals 4...20mA, sensors with ±10V output signal (instead of 0....10V), a ModBus interface, and much more.
